Weldon Bailey

Weldon was born on Sept. 6, 1929 to Luther and Allie (Mahaffey) Bailey in Lubbock. He farmed in Wilson for thirty five years and following his retirement, moved to Lubbock. Weldon served in the National Guard and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #1094 for over fifty years. He enjoyed reading western books and watching Dallas Cowboy and Texas Tech football games.Survivors include a brother, Alton Bailey of Lubbock; two daughters, Karen (Richard) Farris of Lubbock, and Karla (Bob) Horn of Amarillo; five grandsons, Brian, Eric, Kyler, Kolton and Keegan and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Corine Reams, Geroldine Curry and Irene Edmondson.We would like the express our appreciation to the staff of Carillon Belle Court South for the love and excellent care given to Weldon over the last few years.
