She was born Oct. 26, 1919, in Lubbock County to the late Stephen and Marybelle (Truss) Pate. Allene married Orville Head on Mar. 28, 1936 in Clovis, NM. She lived in the Lubbock area all her life and was a homemaker, helping her husband run the farm. The blessings of her life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by two grandsons, Gregory and Jamethy Greene; a granddaughter-in-law, Melissa Carney; three great grandchildren, Trevor and Tiffany Greene, and Courtney Gonzales; sister-in-law, Marjorie Pate and son-in-law, Shirley Greene.
Along with her parents and her husband, Allene is preceded by her daughter, Patricia Greene, five brothers and three sisters.
