She was born December 2, 1926 to Daniel Leo “Pete” Sprawls and Elsie Varina Sprawls. She has lived in Lubbock since 1947. On April 23, 1949, she married Billy Gerald Pippins, her husband of 61 years. She was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone for 32 years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and volunteered at the VA Clinic for many years. She was a member of Oakwood United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kenneth Glenn Sprawls.
Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her husband, her sister-in-law,
Wanda L. Sprawls of Lubbock, her cousins Alton B. Sprawls (“Little Brother”) and wife, Joyce of Lubbock, Texas, many nieces and nephews including Jimmy Leroy Pippins and wife, Wilma J. of San Angelo, Texas, Ronald Gene Pippins and wife, Norma of
Fort Worth, Texas, Ruben Paul Pippins and wife, Kathy of Burleson, Texas, extended family members and many wonderful friends.
