Margaret was born on October 31, 1929 to George and Margaret Wait Ladd in Brooklyn, N.Y. Margaret was the epitome of style and grace. She loved the Big Bands of her time, like the Glenn Miller Band. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She retired as a statistician with A T & T and was a pioneer member of the American Telephone and Telegraph. She loved to spend all the holidays with her family, could set a table and decorate her home in a way that typified her elegance and graciousness. She was very patriotic and a lover of God and country. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and volunteered and supported The Girl Scouts of America. Margaret was a believer and a member of the body of Christ. Margaret was preceded in death by her grand niece, Amanda Brooke. She is survived by her loving sisters, Harriet Kline of Fayetteville, AR and Caroline Portues of Lubbock. Her four nieces, Kim Allyson Portues of Lubbock, and Laura Jean George and her husband Chris of Lubbock, Beth Miller of Ruidoso Downs, NM and Jenann Brophy and her husband Chris of Fayetteville, AR and several grand nieces and nephews.
