She was born July 8, 1951 in Amarillo to Williard Leon and Juanita (Carver) Kingery. She grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Coronado High School in 1969, Vickie attended Texas Woman’s University where she was on the rifle team. With the onset of MS she withdrew from school. With determination to finish school, she went back to college graduating from the University of Texas, Ft. Worth with her BSN in 1974 and working for several years following. Vickie loved to swim and was an avid reader. She was a member of Trinity Church.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, LeAnne Carroll of Lubbock; her mother, Juanita Kingery of Lubbock; a brother, Gell Kingery and wife Betty of Waco; three nieces, Jennifer Plemons of Lubbock and Andrea Martinez and Jacquilyn Land both of Waco; a great niece; two great nephews; and special care givers, Dee Williams, Angie McVay and Yolanda Ruiz.
Vickie’s father, Williard Kingery preceded her in death Oct. 18, 2007
