Thelma Inez was born on October 24, 1911 to Benjamin and Mary Peller Clemmer in Putman, Texas. On December 10, 1930, she married Louis Ray Joplin in Clovis, New Mexico and he preceded her in death on January 9, 1937. She married Raymond Marr and he preceded her in death.
Thelma was a resident of Meadow, where she drove a school bus for several years in order to provide for her children following her husband, Louis’ death.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and four babies.
Thelma is survived by her son, Lawrence Ray Joplin and wife, Ruth of Lubbock; daughter, Doris Eugenia Bezdek of Hillsboro, TX; sister, Rowena Caswell of Meadow; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; sister, Rowena Caswell of Meadow.
