Lowell L. “Andy” Andersen, 73 of Lubbock passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009.
Andy was born on May 6, 1936 in Gary MN to the late Margaret C. and Andrew C. Andersen. He graduated from Gary High School in 1954. After graduation Andy served four years in the US Air Force where he was awarded for Good Conduct and Marksmanship. Andy married Diane Field on July 2, 1963. After discharge from the Air Force, Andy worked at Erie Mining for nineteen years as a Certified Standard Welder. Moving to Wyoming, Andy worked for Glenrock Coal from 1980 until his retirement. He then moved to Lubbock in 2000.
Along with his parents, Andy is preceded in death by a brother, Andrew Richard Andersen.
He is survived by the love of his life, wife, Diane; two daughters, Kelly Webb and husband, Steven of Katy, Tx and Karla Marushin and husband Joe of St. Paul Park, MN; two grandsons, Alex and Kevin Webb of Katy, Tx.; a brother, Robert L. Andersen of Virginia, MN and numerous nieces and nephews.
