Obituary:
Family and friends will gather at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers to celebrate the life of Mickey Hensler. Mickey went to be with the Lord Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009. Mickey was a lifelong resident of Lubbock, born May 3, 1948 to Jack and Edna (Beeson) Hensler. He graduated from Lubbock High School. Mickey was employed as a salesman for Frito Lay until his retirement. Mickey married Vivian Aguilar on July 14, 1995 in Lubbock. He was a member of Bacon Heights Baptist Church for many years where he taught Sunday school and lead Royal Ambassadors. He was currently one of the ministers at Holy Tabernacle of Praise. Mickey enjoyed art, stain glass, fishing and all water sports. His life revolved around his children and grandchildren spending as much time with them as possible. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Vivian; three sons, Scotty Hensler and wife Jenny of Lubbock, David Hensler and wife Carla of Keller and Tony Hensler of Lubbock; their mother, Rosemary Dial of Lubbock; step-children, Lionel, Andrew and Cassandra Aguilar all of Lubbock; grandchildren, Savannah Brandon, AbbyGail, Madeline and Athena Hensler, Gabriella Aguilar and Jeremiah Aguilar; brothers, Doug Stapp of Slaton and Phillip Hensler and wife TK of Peoria, IL. Mickey was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jack and Joe Hensler.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the M. Hensler Memorial Fund at Texas Tech Federal Credit Union, 1802 Texas Tech Parkway, Lubbock, TX 79409.
