BJ was born Aug. 20, 1937 in Floydada to the late Tom and Fay Holladay. She attended Lubbock schools and later received her realtor’s license. BJ married Dale Watkins and they had two children. She worked for Pat Garrett Realtors and was an apartment manager until her retirement in 1996. On June 6, 1996, BJ married Nick Nichols in Clovis, NM. Nick is employed by Frank Brown Auto & Truck Ranch as the parts manager. BJ was a member of the Board of Realtors and Monterey Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Nick; a son, Larry Dale Watkins and wife Melissa of Lubbock; grandchildren, Jeremy Dale Watkins and wife Mandy of Bedford and Amanda Wright of Abilene and a great grandson, Jacob Dale Watkins.
B J was preceded in death by a daughter Lana Kay Watkins in June, 1975 and a sister, Jerry Faye LaQuey.
