Zibby was born Nov. 15, 1935 in Jackson, TN to the late Ralph G. and Elva (Parrish) Smith. She grew up in Georgia and attended David-Lipscomb College in Nashville, TN where she met and married William Wayne Wright. She lived in Valdosta, GA, Gardena and Agoura Hills, CA and settled in Ventura, CA where Zibby received her RN degree from Ventura College. Zibby worked and lived in California for 40 years, moving to Lubbock eight years ago. Although, Zibby was in the medical field as her profession, her life revolved around serving and giving to others. She was a member of the Monterey Church of Christ. She loved sports, the beach, photography and travelling. Zibby’s life was centered on Christ, her church and her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Joiner and husband Steve of Nashville, TN; Judy Reis and husband Steve of San Marcos, CA; Micki Maina and husband Mario of Turin, Italy; son-in-law, Mark Neumann of Thousand Oaks, CA and twelve grandchildren- Craig, Bryan, Courtney, Kyle, Kelsey, Melissa, David, Alessia, Annie, Jenna, Julia and Sophia.
Along with her parents, Zibby was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Gay Neumann on Aug. 5, 2003.
