Obituary:
Vince was born Sept. 24, 1940 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, one of seven children to Louis Everett and Dorothy (Guarnera) Brown. Vince graduated from Monterey High School in 1959 and later attended Texas Tech University, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Vince worked at Xerox in Lubbock for fifteen years before moving to Hobbs, NM where he and is wife, Suzann, lived for 26 years. While in Hobbs, Vince worked at Climax Chemical Co. for approximately 15 years, before acquiring Banta Oilfield Service, Inc., which he co-owned and operated before retiring. Vince was often recognized by his nickname, “Snake” and will always be remembered as fun loving and full of life. Those left to cherish Vince’s memories are his wife, Suzann; a daughter, Kim Crimmins and spouse Randy of Lubbock, two sons, Kurt Brown and wife Susan of New Braunfels, and Kyle and spouse Cheree of Phoenix, AZ; his mother, Dorothy; seven grandchildren, Kaleigh Crimmins, Brennan Brown, Justin Crimmins, Jake Brown, Davis Brown, Landon Brown and Aidan Brown; six brothers, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Bruce Brown and spouse Claudyne of Vienna, VA, Dr. John Brown and spouse Kay of Lubbock, Leo Brown and spouse Barbara of Chattanooga, TN, Mike Brown and spouse Pat of Scottsdale, AZ, Tim Brown and spouse Pam of Lubbock and Tom Brown and spouse Cindy of Levelland. His father, Louis preceded him in death.
