Obituary:
Alan lived his life for the Lord and it was the most important thing in his life! Alan will be cherished and missed by his family and friends. He will also be missed by his two pups, Angel and Sassy, which never left Alan’s side. He was a very devoted and caring husband, dad and grandpa. He always had a positive attitude that never ended even during his illness. One of Alan’s greatest strengths was he never met a stranger. God created this wonderful man on July 9, 1953. He graduated from Perryton High School in 1971 and attended Texas Tech University. He married Denise Dunn on June 24th, 1973. He moved back to Perryton where he was owner and operator of Tri-C Oil. He was ordained a Deacon at First Baptist Church in Perryton, TX on October 9, 1983. He was also a Sunday school teacher and on the Youth Council. Later, Alan and his wife moved to Lubbock where he worked for Dillard’s Department Store until his illness. The Dillard’s family was a very important part of his life. He is survived by his wife, Denise, who were married 36 years on June 24th. Alan is also survived by his son Sean and wife Nikki and their two daughters Holly and Hannah, Melissa Brown and her husband, Mike, their son Colton, and daughter, Madison all of Lubbock. Alan lived for his grandchildren and lovingly referred to them as his “Angels.” Alan is also survived by his parents, Norman and Eleanor Curry of Lubbock, TX formerly of Perryton, TX, his father and mother-in-law Junior and Jean Dunn of Lubbock, TX formerly of Perryton, TX, his sister Kim Courson of Lubbock, TX formerly of Perryton, TX, his brother-in-law Kevin Dunn and wife Tina of Lubbock, TX and sister-in-law Kayla McMillan and husband Lee of Lindale, TX and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
