Babe was born to Carl Boone Meadows and Violet Ellsworth Raliegh Meadows on Sept. 13, 1931 in Anton. Babe graduated from Amarillo High School in 1949 and attended West Texas State College for two years following her graduation. She was employed at several school systems throughout her career and also the First National Bank of Hale Center. After retirement, Babe moved to Lubbock where she enjoyed playing golf with her friends at Lakeridge Country Club. She was a member of Lakeridge United Methodist Church and the South Plains Ladies’ Golf Association.
She is survived by two sons, Steve Keeton of Lubbock and Rodney Keeton and wife Shaunna of Lubbock, brother, Robert W. Meadows and wife Elda of Pima, AZ; 5 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Babe’s father, mother and sister, Wilda Carlene Anderwald of Harlingen precede her in death.
