Obituary:
She was born on October 23, 1952 in El Paso, Texas to the late Ennis Roberts and Ida Mae Roberts. Elaine attended Texas Tech University, and then worked at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock. She married Stephen Lee Reddick on April 4, 1981. Early in their marriage the couple lived in Levelland, Texas, Hobbs, New Mexico, and Artesia, New Mexico and had two daughters. They later lived in Houston, Texas for nearly twenty years. Elaine and her husband recently retired in Lubbock. Elaine dedicated her life to the service of others. As a stay-at-home mother throughout her marriage, she worked hard to raise children and support her husband while volunteering regularly at her church, at her children’s schools, and at other community organizations. She was known as a great friend and an encourager to those in need. She loved to host friends, Bible study groups, and her large family at her home, believing along with her mother that there was no such thing as too many guests. Elaine was motivated to serve through her faith in Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband Steve; two daughters, Laura Renee Schmidt and husband Christopher of Houston and Mary Elizabeth Reddick of Bryan; two brothers, Arthur Roberts and wife Sherry of Shallowater and Dennis Roberts and wife Gloria of Lubbock and two sisters, Cindy Baucom and husband Bobby of Athens and Rebecca Miller and husband Roy of Killeen.
