Obituary:
Stan White took his final flight on May 12, 2009 with God as his co-pilot. Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers will host a gathering of friends and family to remember his life of 75 years, Monday, May 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Stanley Ray was born to George and Nola White in Lawton, OK on January 26, 1934. Following graduation from John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City, he moved to southern California where he met his love of his life. Stan and June were married June 5, 1953 in Bellflower, California. He served his country in the United States Army while stationed in the Alaskan territory before it became the 49th state. Stan began a career in sales following his honorable discharge from the United States Army. Stan spent many hours flying through the skies in his 1947 Aeronca Champ airplane which was his passion. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends riding motorcycles, hunting, camping, and caring for animals. Survivors include his spouse of 56 years, June; 3 children, Kelley, spouse, Ray, Doug, spouse, Scorpie, and Mike, spouse, Lisa; grandchildren, Lindsay, Cody, Peyton, Ella, and Jack; 2 sister-in-laws; numerous nephews and nieces.
