"James Rowan was born on May 25, 1940 to Bradley and Nova Lawson Rowan in Lubbock, Texas. On June 5, 1965, James married the love of his life, Virgie Cook in Lubbock, Texas. <br /><br />Survivors include his wife, Vergie Rowan; children, Wade Rowan and wife, Melissa, Kimberly Vega, Sandy Reid, Carol Rowan, Buddy Rowan and wife, Misty; grandchildren, Zach Reid, Bailey Rowan, Jordan Jackson, Elizabeth Rowan, Alexis Rowan, Shawna Rowan, Kyle Rowan, Tyra Smith, Nita Garduno, Lucy Demosky, Jose Vega, Joshua Vega, Jordan Vega; Nijah Vega; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Charles Rowan.<br /><br />He was preceded in death by his father, Bradley Earlie Rowan; mother, Nova Rowan Scott."
