Jackie Ray Kirk was born on January 17, 1949, to the late Paul and Elba (Scott) Kirk at Lubbock. Jackie was proud to serve in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He married Linda Barrow on May 2, 1981 in Lubbock. Jackie loved his job and was working until the last few days as the Warehouse Supervisor for Leftwich-Chapman Flooring America. Jackie never met a stranger and was a friend to every person he met, and always ready to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and travelling, especially to Ruidoso with his family and planning family reunions. His favorite day of the week was Saturday when the grandchildren would come for a sleep over and many shopping sprees at the Dollar Store. His family called him their “Superman”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Mikenna Kirk, and three sisters Rhonda Clemmer, Paula Welch, and Tracy Langdon.
Jackie is survived by wife, Linda Darlene Kirk, children, Tina Michelle (Robert)Moreland, Dustie (Shane Threet) Delashaw , Chad (Tammy) Kirk, Casey (Matthew) Meadows, and Dallas (Amber) Kirk; eleven grandchildren, Alyssa, Christian, Zoey, Jade Xander, Avery, Austin, Kolton, Brooklyn, Madeline, and Mazzy; two great-grandchildren, Zayde and Myah; two brothers, J.B. (Tonda) Kirk, and David (Virginia) Kirk; two sisters, Tammy Jones, and Terri Thomas, and many beloved extended family and lifelong friends.
